Stormkist was bred by Marion and Ivor out of one of their foundation bitches, Panfield Blonde Princess. In one of his articles, Ivor explained the story behind Stormkist: "We noted that females sired by
Ch. Panfield Texas Tycoon when mated to the latest American import Rainey-Lane's Sirrocco were producing some lovely Champions for Marian Fairbrother. We decided to mate our Tycoon daughter, Blonde Princess, to Ch. Gremlin Normlin Legend, a top winning son of Sirrocco out of a Tycoon daughter - we thought this may be one better! However, Legend refused to mate our bitch and so we ended up using Sirrocco anyway!"
Stormkist was the pick of litter and she went to Marian Fairbrother who made her up for Babs Hillson.
