As Winuwuk Scandalous was by an outcross dog, we very much wanted to bring her back in to our own line. Not only was our breed record holder Ch/Ir Ch Winuwuk Lust at First Sight the 'man of the moment' but the pedigrees tied up nicely and he was a good match for her type-wise. In particular, we hoped that he would improve her head and give her a little more height of foreleg. Thankfully, he did both and from the litter this dark brindle and white bitch stood out.

Being out of Scandalous, we thought that the name Rumour Has It suited her perfectly and we were very delighted with how she was coming on. Lexi has always had this beautifully balanced front and rear angulation, great neck and real style. On top of all that, her head really is textbook and reminds us so much of her grandmother, Ch Winuwuk The Mistress. She has beautiful eyes and a wonderful expression.

Her show campaign was not always the easiest since she is one of those females whose hormones go wild twice a year and then result in very obvious phantom pregnancies. As a result we always said that she was only at her absolute best for about four months of the year. However, she has always done well and at Paignton 2011 Gill Davies awarded her a Reserve CC. She was consistently in the cards, but it was not until Paignton 2012 that she picked up her next RCC from Sue Searle on the day that her sire went BOB. A few weeks later at the Welsh Kennel Club Val Pack-Davison gave her a third Reserve.

Kicking off 2013 with a bang, we were thrilled when Wendy Brooks gave her a first CC at Manchester, the very first show of the year, and topped it off with BOB. Gill Davies then confirmed her opinion of her at Blackpool on the most blustery day we have ever experienced at a dog show. She was BOB that day as well.

Her third and crowning CC came at the Working & Pastoral Breeds of Wales in April 2014. Earlier in the day Malcolm James had awarded Ch Winuwuk The Outlaw his sixth CC so we were particularly delighted when he awarded Lexi Open Bitch and her third and qualifying CC, making her our 25th UK Champion and the third champion we had made up within 12 months
